A Culture of Death

The Heritage Foundation’s Melanie Israel is a research associate in the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society.  Melanie visits with an update on Planned Parenthood’s annual report and weighs in on the the status of attempts to defund the organization, which performed over 330,000 abortions in one year.  Interestingly, Planned Parenthood’s non-abortive services, such as adoption referrals has declined.  Currently Parent Parenthood performs 118 abortions for every adoption referral.

The conversation about the Commonwealth for Life March On Richmond continues with event organizer, Diana Shores.

Diana and her husband, Chris are long-time pro-life and pro-family activists. They have worked in grassroots activism, rallying the base to support candidates that reflect their Christian values as volunteers and in state government.

Chris Shores is a board member of the Virginia First Foundation and Diana is the Director for Social Media for the Day of Tears.

Diana encourages support of the event because she feels this is the time to truly see that the radical Left’s real agenda is pro-death.  The rally is an opportunity to come together to support the right to life, be energized with truth and engaged, and have a game plan going forward.

Chris and Diana Shores announce their upcoming Commonwealth for Life March on Richmond event.  The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 7th from 10am – 1pm, and is a grassroots effort.

Chris and Diana have been in the conservative and prolife trenches for the last 26 years.  The event took form following Gov. Ralph Northam’s advocacy of infanticide, including his assertion that a baby could be terminated after birth.

Following this, Chris and Diana quickly mobilized and began organizing a prolife movement to gather and meet at Virginia’s capitol for a time of prayer and prolife speeches to be delivered by a variety of the movement’s supporters, including Reverend Craig.

Currently,  the event anticipates over 3000 people, with over 20 buses of people traveling to Richmond to support the stand for life.

Concerning Gov. Ralph Northam, Democrats are less upset at the actual facts of Gov. Northam’s explanation of aborticide/infanticide than they are at the way it makes Democrats look; in light of the recent backlash against Democrats who did the exact same thing in New York.

The comparisons to the Nazi doctor Dr. Mengele, by black conservatives angry over the 20 million plus black abortions since the 1973 Roe v. Wade, caused Virginia Democrats to seek to throw Dr. Northam aside in exchange for his young black Lt. Governor, Justin Fairfax.

The way the Democrats sought to maneuver this was to dig up a 35-year-old blackface/KKK photo, reminiscent of Al Jolson’s “The Jazz Singer”.  Meanwhile, black Democrats show more anger at images than they do for the loss of life.  Shame on them!

About the Gosnell Movie

Gosnell is both a book and recently released movie that tells the shocking true story of the investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell – his 30 year killing spree and the political and media establishment that tried to cover it up. Who can the investigators really trust when a routine drugs investigation uncovers a scandal that goes all the way to the top?

Despite the lame-steam media’s censorship of the film, it has been reported that a woman publicly declared herself pro-life after seeing the Gosnell movie.  Similarly, reviewers of the Gosnell book on Amazon are saying, “My son got this book for me on amazon prime after seeing the movie. I read the book in two sittings as I couldn’t put it down… It had many more details about the story that there was not enough time for a movie to include in an hour and a half....”

The Gosnell story is having a serious impact on the people of America, regardless of the fact that 30% of theaters have quietly and maliciously dropped this outstanding film from their rosters.

About the Filmmakers

Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney are investigative journalists, filmmakers and screenwriters. McAleer has worked as a journalist in Belfast covering the Northern Ireland conflict for The Irish News. He was a crime correspondent for the UK Sunday Times and based in Romania he was a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times and The Economist magazine. He is a regular columnist for the Irish Times and the New York Post.

Ann McElhinney has written for the Irish Times, the UK Sunday Times and produced documentaries for the BBC, CBC (Canada) and RTE (Ireland). they produced and directed the documentary FrackNation (2013).

The Gosnell movie is based on The New York Times best-selling book Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer written by producers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer. The book became especially controversial when The New York Times initially refused to feature it on its bestsellers list despite sales figures that revealed it should be on the list.  The New York Times now admitted that they adjust the list as an “editorial decision”.

McAleer and McElhinney are originally from Ireland and are now living in Los Angeles. They produced and co-wrote Gosnell, a feature film starring Dean Cain (Lois & Clark) now in limited release.
