About U.S. Senate Candidate, Corey Stewart
U. S Senate candidate, Corey Stewart, is currently the at-large chairman of the Board of County Supervisors in Prince William – the 2nd-largest and fastest-growing locality in Virginia. During his tenure as chairman, Corey passed the largest tax cut in the county’s history, leading to a 30% lower tax bill than any other locality in Northern Virginia. Corey continued to hire more teachers, police officers, fire-firefighters, and invested in infrastructure, leading the largest local road building program in Virginia. Corey has kept taxes and spending low, saving residents $205 million, and securing a triple-AAA bond rating status for the county; one of only 36 jurisdictions in the nation to do so. Prince William is ranked the #1 locality in job growth in Virginia and #3 in the nation.
Cracking Down on Illegal Immigration
Corey is best known for implementing the nation’s toughest crackdown on illegal immigration, resulting in the county turning over more than 8,000 criminal illegal aliens to U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), leading to a 48.7% drop in violent crime.
Personal Background
Corey’s father was a longshoreman and instilled in Corey a hard work ethic at an early age. Corey earned an academic scholarship and graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and he was the first member of his extended family to graduate from college.
Corey then earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. Corey now works as an international trade attorney with his own practice. Corey and his wife of 24 years, Maria, reside in Woodbridge, VA, with their two sons and are currently hosting three foreign exchange students. Corey and his family are parishioners at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Woodbridge.
Corey Stewart In His Own Words:
I am running for U.S. Senate to retire Tim Kaine and support President Trump’s America First Agenda. Citizens across this country need a Senator who will fight for them and stand up to the Washington elites.
Washington D.C. needs to get out of the way so Virginia can bring jobs back to the Commonwealth and create a better business climate – especially for those struggling rural regions that need it the most. I will stand with our Law Enforcement, Veterans, and blue-collar workers, and I’ll never back down from my conservative principles of fighting illegal immigration, defending the Second Amendment, and protecting life.
I’m running to fight for you.
