About God’s Ballot
God’s Ballot is a voting initiative that challenges voters to examine whether their beliefs and voting pattern truly lines up with God’s heart, according to the Scriptures.
God’s position on every issue facing society today is the only right answer. He makes His truth known to those who seek Him and carefully read His Word. God’s Ballot does not seek to promote any political party, but rather to provide a simple checklist of issues for voters to consider and to compare the candidates and their positions on the matters.
America is embroiled in extremely divisive times right now, and God’s Ballot encourages voters to seek absolute Truth.
Vote your faith to advance God’s kingdom and honor His heart.
Tywana Hampton’s Political Testimony
Tywana Hampton, founder of God’s Ballot, explains that now is a great time to pause, examine our beliefs and whether our voting patterns truly
line up with God’s word, according to the Scriptures.
Tywana was a lifetime Democrat until just about 3 years ago.
It all started in 2008 just before the election of President Obama. Tywana was in the store and two black women approached her and asked who she was voting for. She thought they were crazy…Obama, of course! Their response to her was, “you struck us as a Republican”! They invited her to a Republican meeting, and she knew that was not an invitation she would accept.
At her ladies meeting at her church, while they were in their prayer circle, one of the ladies that she had a deep respect for said, “I know you all want to vote for Mr. Obama, because he’ll be the first black president, but we as Christians really track more closely with the Republican platform.” Tywana thought, “I don’t care what she says, I’m voting for Mr. Obama.” Yeah…he was elected! She coasted on through, not paying a lot of attention to what was happening. The Presidential election came up again, and she voted for Obama again, but with some reluctance.
She began conversing with her church friend to see why she voted Republican. This lady’s life work was to provide scholarships to families who could not afford to put their children into private Christian schools. Her passion was quality education for inner city children. She constantly fought for school choice. Tywana had many more conversations with her Republican friend, and also read the book titled, “Please Stop Helping Us”, by Jason L. Riley. It is a very profound book that explains how leftist policies are harmful to minorities. So, after a lot of reading, researching and debating, Tywana discovered that her personal beliefs are better represented by the Republican Party.
Tywana volunteered for many hours during the 2016 Presidential election and the 2017 Virginia governor’s election. She credits Elizabeth Bradford for introducing her to the Hanover Republican Women’s Club. Elizabeth’s warm reception while working in the Republican booth at the Hanover Tomato Festival definitely won her over!
