Easter and Passover greetings!
We pray that you both see and value the precious blood of the lamb, and its power of protection when you place it over the door post of your heart.
In ancient times, the Israelites placed the blood of a literal sacrificial lamb over their door posts as protection from the judgment of the death angel. This was a foreshadowing of the New Covenant . . . the blood of God’s perfect lamb, Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed for the remission of our sins.
No more sacrifices are needed, as we now accept the ultimate sacrifice in our hearts and seek to live sacrificial lives; one that considers not just self, but others as well.
In this special and holy season, we pray that the many spirits of destruction that have been loosed onto society, as a result of man’s disobedience to God; would pass over your life, your family, your community, and the nation.
The blood on the doorposts will be a sign to mark the houses in which you live. When I see the blood, I will PASS OVER (from where we get the term Passover) you. So, this day shall be to you as a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout you generations . . . (Exodus 12:13,14)
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! THE LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sin of the world! ” (John 1:29)
