The Heritage Foundation’s Melanie Israel is a research associate in the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society. Melanie visits with an update on Planned Parenthood’s annual report and weighs in on the the status of attempts to defund the organization, which performed over 330,000 abortions in one year. Interestingly, Planned Parenthood’s non-abortive services, such as adoption referrals has declined. Currently Parent Parenthood performs 118 abortions for every adoption referral.
With over 1.9 billion in assets and over 1/2 a billion in tax payer funding, the organization also experiencing an upswing in their fundraising.
