In honor of the observance of Memorial Day, we had a very special program. Please take a little time to listen, and BE SURE TO SHARE IT.
U.S. Senate nominee E.W. Jackson, Virginia
The first hour receives a visit from candidate E.W. Jackson, who is seeking the U.S. Senate nomination to compete against Tim Kaine. E.W. Jackson shocked the political Establishment when he won the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor of Virginia in 2013, which was propelled by enthusiastic grassroots support when delegates remained on the convention floor more than 12 hours to make sure their candidate won. Jackson is the founder and current president of S.T.A.N.D. (Staying True To America’s National Destiny), a conservative organization that is dedicated to preserving life, the traditional family and Judeo-Christian history and values as the foundation of the Constitution and American culture. Jackson is pastor of Exodus Faith Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia and has appeared as a commentator on national news networks such as C-SPAN, Fox News, and MSNBC. To learn more about Jackson and the his campaign platform on the issues, visit his website.
Author Carole Engle Avriett
In our second hour I think you will especially like the conversation with author, Carole Engle Avriett, and her new book, “The Coffin Corner Boys” , which is a WWII memoir, just in time for observing Memorial Day. Carole is an internationally known speaker and writer and spent 14 years as the Homes Editor for Southern Living Magazine, producing hundreds of articles on architectural and interior design, co-authoring several books, notably At Home with Southern Living. In addition to these accomplishments, Carole has written Bible curriculum materials including books used as denomination-wide conference studies. Currently she invests her skills full-time researching and writing Bible study books and biographies with strong spiritual components.
