In this pre-recorded interview with Reverend Craig, William J. Murray is the son of Madalyn Murray O’Hair (a United States atheist activist who came to national attention in Baltimore, Maryland when she filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of the United States, stating that compulsory prayer and reading of the Bible in schools was unconstitutional. Murray is the chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., and is active on issues related to aiding Christians in Islamic and Communist nations. For more than two decades, Murray has been at the forefront of social conservatism.
From his office in Washington, DC, Murray continues to work for the rights of Christians in America and persecuted Christians around the world. He has led the Religious Freedom Coalition’s campaign to preserve “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance and to preserve the Christian heritage of our nation. He also works to assist Palestinian Christian families and supports Christian schools in Samaria (the West bank). Murray has participated in fact-finding missions, taking him to the Sudan, Darfur, Kosovo, Serbia, China, and the Middle East.
Murray has appeared on ABC,CBS,FOX,MSNBC, and NBC news programs. He is a regular guest on numerous radio talk shows. He is the author of several books including My Life Without God, Let Us Pray , and The Pledge: One Nation Under God, for which the foreword was written by Congressman Todd Akin. Murray’s most recent book is Utopian Road to Hell: Enslaving America and the World with Central Planning.
